The River Gallery School is based on the belief that each person has artistic and creative capacities which, when nurtured, will find unique and valuable expression. It is our challenge to inspire a love of art: to open the possibility of art as a vital force in a person's life and provide the foundation of techniques and skills necessary for artistic growth and expression.
Picasso said, " I do not seek, I find."
Finding implies recognition. To see into ourselves is to recognize that which is uniquely our own and calls for expression. All of us share the need and capacity for this "finding", this self-recognition.
The visual arts provide a wonderful tool for such inquiry. The River Gallery School has committed itself to nurturing and supporting this vital journey for both children and adults.
We are dedicated to creating an environment for community members of all ages who will be enriched by the values of the school.
